Brief History of Alice M. Yowell

On Saturday, January 30, 2021, Alice Mae Yowell, loving mother of Elizabeth Ann Payne Golladay, Allen A. Payne Jr. (deceased), Carl Gene Payne and Kathy Marie Payne Pruitt by her first husband Allen A. Payne (deceased) passed away at the age of 85 at ManorCare of Alexandria, VA. Her second husband Homer H. Yowell (deceased) had one child, Patricia Gail Yowell Boaz who resides in Alexandria, VA. She also had four other step- children Faye, Linda, Nancy and Ray from her second husband. Alice was born Warren Virginia and resided in the Franconia and Alexandria area for most of her life. Alice loved animals of all kind, she would take in and care for any stray that may happen her way. She loved fishing and gardening. She also loved birds of all kinds, she had a tender heart when it came to animals in need or that was abandon. She had a love of country music and liked going to concerts to see her favorite artist.

Due to Covid19, there will be a private family gathering at Bethel Cemetery in Alexandria VA. Date at this time is unknown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer/Dementia Association.
