Albert Paladini Jr., died on December 12, 2013 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was born to the late Albert Sr. and Ann Paladini in Manhattan in 1935 and grew up on the Lower East Side where he experienced life as only someone from New York City in the 40s and 50s could. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech and Brooklyn College before going on to a fulfilling career as a physicist, an engineer, a mathematician and finally as a senior patent examiner. During that time he also received his Master’s Degree from Syracuse University, performed in amateur theater and spent countless hours conversing with the many cats he shared his life with.Al will be remembered for his kindness, his love of animals, his impersonations of Richard Burton, Stan Laurel, Danny Kaye and others, and for his wonderful and quirky sense of humor. We will never watch a Marx Brothers movie or an episode of Seinfeld again without hearing his laugh. He will be missed.Al is survived by his loving wife, Marylynn Paladini; his son, Marc Paladini and his brother, William Paladini.A memorial service will be held at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St., Alexandria VA 22314 on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 1:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Albert to: Best Friends Animals Society at www.bestfriends.org then click “donate today”.
