Alvin William Bolton, 82, of Manassas, VA passed away on May 22, 2010. Mr. Bolton was born June 11, 1927, the youngest son of the late James and Mae Bolton. Born and raised in Old Town Alexandria, Mr. Bolton served as a former president of the Alexandria Fraternal Order of Eagles. For over 40 years, he worked as a skilled machinist including time spent fabricating munitions at the U.S. Naval Torpedo Station in Alexandria during World War II. Mr. Bolton served in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in Germany. He retired from Central Technologies, Inc. of Manassas, VA in 1995.He is survived by his wife, Linda Bolton; daughter, Mary Owens Anthony of Fairfax; son, David Bolton Jojean of Woodbridge; and four grandchildren Brady, Ryan, Rebecca, and Michael.The family will receive friends at the Cunningham Funeral Home 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A life celebration service will be held at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
