Christina ?Tina? Louise TabariniChristina passed away after a short battle with Cancer on Friday July 29, 2011. She is preceded in death by her mother; Harriet L. Tabarini. Christina is survived by her father, Bernard J. Tabarini ,her two sisters, Paula B. Tabarini and Carolyn M. Clark Brian O. Clark, and her brother Bernard E. TabariniCarolyn R. Tabarini. Christina has 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 grand-nephew and 1 grand-niece. Christina Louise Tabarini was born on April 2, 1958, at St. Francis Hospital Trenton, NJChristina, better known as “Tina” applied for early admission to William & Mary College and was accepted in December 1975. She graduated from William & Mary and was accepted for graduate studies at the University of Maine, accomplishing most of her studies at Walpole, MA where the Oceanography laboratory was located. She was awarded a full scholarship and completed her Master Degree in December 1983. Tina published “A Partial Bibliography of the Bay Scallop, Argopecten Irradians Lamarck” 1960-1980.In addition for her Masters Thesis she published “Induced Triploids in the Bay Scallop, Argopecten Irradians, and Its Effect On Growth and Gametogensis” which was accepted May 7, 1984. This thesis was present at a formal meeting in Georgia and was published in the publication entitled ACQUACULTURE, 42 151-160 in 1984.Following her graduation from the University of Maine she entered the Federal Government Service in the Smithsonian Museum. Tina entered the field of Project Management as a step in her profession. Upon her own effort she privately funded her studies in this field and became a Certified Project Manager. Tina decided to work for small organizations as a Technical Account Manager, or a Coordination Manager, then a Senior Project Manager.A visitation will be held at Cunningham Funeral Home from 6-8 PM Friday, September 9, 2011. A life celebration service will be held at 11AM Saturday, September 10, 2011Christina?s family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Fairfax County, http://www.hsfc.org/.
