Clara Mary Griffin

Clara Mary Griffin, 67, of Woodbridge Virginia, passed away on February 8, 2021.
Clara was born in Washington, D.C. on October 2, 1953. She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Academy in Washington, D.C. and worked briefly for the federal government before becoming a stay-at-home Mom. When Clara rejoined the workforce, she began a career at the United States Postal Service following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather before her. She retired from the Postal Service in 2011.
Family always came first to Clara. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie. She had a generous spirit and her heart was filled with compassion for those in need. Clara spent many hours using her special talent at crocheting making scarves and hats for the homeless.
Clara is survived by her daughter Lisa Reneé, her grandchildren Michelle, Joseph, and Jeramiah, her nephew and godson Matthew, and her sister Anneliese and brother-in-law Ronnie. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ruby, her mother Virginia, and her father Joseph. Clara’s beloved long-time companion James passed away on February 12, 2021 just a few days after her death.
Clara was a true blessing to her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and remembered in our hearts forever.
