Mrs. Emma Beckley Attivie , was born on May 19, 1955, in Accra, Ghana. She was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Emma D. Kowalski and the late Mr. Joseph Beckley.
She resided both in Accra and Cape Coast alongside with her mother, late stepfather, and her aunt, Mrs. Kate Dennis. Emma's aspirations led her to persuade her mother to help her move to the United States, where she could pursue her lifelong dream of working in the medical field.
Emma completed her secondary education at Ghana National College in 1975. In 1976, she married, Mr.Alex Eyiah, welcoming their first child, Kuukuwa. After their marriage ended, Emma's unwavering determination propelled her to take a bold step in 1980 by relocating to the U.S. in search of a brighter future.
Upon her arrival in the United States, Emma continued her education and began her rewarding career as a nurse. She dedicated herself to this profession until her retirement in 2020. During her time in the U.S., she met Mr. Paul Attivie, who would become her loving partner and husband for 43 years. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, raising two wonderful children, Ama and Fifi, and fostering a strong, close-knit family.
Emma's journey from Ghana to the United States was more than a mere relocation; it was a transformative experience that shaped her identity and purpose.Her story embodies resilience, courage, and adaptability, showcasing her strength in overcoming challenges and embracing new opportunities.
Mrs. Emma Beckley Attivie's legacy is rooted in her devotion to her family, her relentless pursuit of success, and her ability to thrive amid change. Her inspiring life continues to resonate with all who know her story, serving as a powerful testament to hope, perseverance, and love.
