Eva Leiva De Zuniga was born on February 6, 1957 in El Salvador and passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, in northern Virginia at the age of 67, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ramiro De Paz. She is survived by her children, Erika and Rebecca, who will continue to cherish her memory. Eva is also remembered by her extended family and friends, all of whom were blessed by her presence.
Eva’s passion was art and she loved to create with her hands and always had an affinity to share her skills with her children. From clay sculpting to textile arts, she joyously and diligently worked to inspire and encourage creativity.
Described as sweet, selfless, nurturing and loving, her aura was always inviting. She greatly enjoyed nature, sewing, music, crafting, gardening, cooking and living a peaceful lifestyle.
She was a loving mother and a cherished friend to many. Eva touched the lives of those around her with her kindness and generosity. Her glowing personality, contagious smile and laugh were a delight.
Her daughters will always remember her as a devoted and caring mother who always put their needs above her own. Eva's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Eva will be dearly missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
Eva's life will be honored and remembered at a funeral service to be held at Cunningham Turch in Alexandria, Virginia.
