George K. Petitt, Jr.

George K. Petitt, Jr. 79, of Alexandria, died on August 2, 2015 at Mount Vernon Hospital surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Petitt. He is survived by his children, Deborah Loving James, Jackie Petitt Diane, and Ronald Petitt Rayline; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret, Betty, Pat, Michael, and Austin; and a host of nieces and nephews.The family will receive guest from 6pm to 8pm Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA 22314. A Life Celebration service will be held at 11am, Friday, August 7, 2015 at the funeral home, interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations towards funeral expenses.
