Glenn W. Thompson Jr., “Honey” went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 23, 2024, in his hometown, Washington, DC. He was born on August 10, 1955, to parents Glenn and Bessie Thompson. He loved the Lord. He was very known throughout his neighborhood. Given the nickname Honey for his big smile and courageous ways. After high school, Glenn joined the United States Army. As a proud veteran, Glenn attended college for Architect and Graphic Design. In utilizing his gifted hands, he became a building contractor for several government entities.
In the 1980s, he met the love of his life, Wanda Eubanks and had three children, Glenn, Dorothy and DaShawn Eubanks. He treasured his children and loved his family dearly. Glenn always made time for people he loved. Rather it was lending a listening ear or speaking in his community about Jesus. He spared his time to pray for people and made a difference through the lives of many. For over 30 years, he was an active member of Southeast Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. Before his departure to be with our Lord, he was a dedicated staff at the Veterans Hospital. Giving back to his fellow veterans was something he took delight in.
Those left to cherish his memories include his children, Dorothy and DaShawn Eubanks. His love of life, Wanda Eubanks, and bonus son Marcus Eubanks. His grandchildren, Keyon Eubanks, Kameron, and Braelin Eubanks. His siblings, Phillis Lewis (Ronald), Glenda Dunn (David), Linda C Thompson, Carl Thompson, and a host of devoted family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Eubanks, his parents, Bessie Thompson and Glenn Thompson Sr., and sisters Donna Marie Thompson, and Rosie M. Thompson
