H. Ross Lemmon died on October 8, 2012. He will be remembered best for his contagious sense of humor, his strong faith, and his devotion to family. Born in Indiana, PA on February 12, 1937, Ross grew up in Lewisburg, PA and attended the Lewisburg school system. He graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1955 and Colgate University, Hamilton, NY in 1959.He married Carolyn Wolfe Ross, daughter of Hollis and Mary Ross of Lewisburg. They moved to North Plainfield, NJ and had three children: Elizabeth, John Jack and H. Ross, Jr. In 1970, Carolyn died of cancer. In 1972, Ross married Kathleen Ann Tuohig, daughter of J. Elton and Margaret Tuohig of Chatham, NJ. They had two children: J. Keith and Stacie.Ross spent his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories. In 1988 he retired as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. Ross was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in North Plainfield and subsequently Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, NJ. At both churches and in his community, he was involved in several organizations and activities. Upon moving to Alexandria, VA in February, 2012, Ross joined St. Paul?s Episcopal Church.He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and his five children: Elizabeth Rother Mike of Ann Arbor, MI; Jack Lemmon Elisa of Williamsburg, VA; Ross Lemmon, Jr. of Long Island City, NY; Keith Lemmon Erin of Evanston, IL; and Stacie Moats Aaron of Alexandria. Also, he is survived by his nine grandchildren: Grace, Olivia, Andrew, Nicholas, Ana, Molly, Alice, Charlotte, and Weston. Ross is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Leta Lemmon of Lewisburg and two sisters, Marian Louise Foresman of Brooklyn Park, MD and Jean Clouser of Middleburg, PA. He is survived by his brother, Richard Lemmon of Meridian, ID, and sister Kathleen Bowersox of Lutherville, MD.Private family interment services will be held in Fairmount Cemetery, Chatham, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., October 13, 2012 at Calvary Episcopal Church, 31 Woodland Ave., Summit, NJ. A reception in the parish hall will be held immediately following the service.
