Jacob Dean Walton

Jacob Dean Walton, 26, passed away in Fairfax, Virginia on December 20, 2024 after a short and unexpected battle with leukemia. Jacob was born in Woodbridge, Virginia on December 13, 1998 to parents James Walton III and Karen Walton. He completed their family along with his two older sisters, Amanda and Haley.  Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Ruby Meadows, and his paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Ann Walton, as well as numerous great aunts and uncles. He is survived by his father, James Walton III, his mother, Karen Walton, his sisters, Amanda (Todd) Young and Haley Walton, and his five favorite people, his nieces and nephews - Katelyn, Ian, Cole, Lily and Evelyn Young. He is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved him immensely.

Jacob was a huge fan of Nascar and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his free time, if he wasn’t watching those sports on TV, he was spending time playing video games, hunting and fishing with his dad, going to races or enjoying time with his family. Jacob was often on the quiet side but when he spoke up it was usually to say something funny. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed all types of music and one of his greatest joys in life was being “Puncle Jakey”, a nickname affectionately given by his nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on January 3 from 7-9 PM, following services for his grandmother Ann Walton from 5-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
