John Marrama

August 1, 1952 – May 12, 2018

John Marrama passed away peacefully on Saturday May 12, 2018 in Alexandria, VA holding his wife’s hand.

John was born in Leominster, MA and moved to Rockville, MD as a teenager. He graduated from Providence College in Providence, RI; and obtained his J.D. from Potomac School of Law. John subsequently spent over 30 years growing businesses that delivered Information Technology (IT) services to the federal government. At the time of his death he was the President of HHB Systems.

John had two daughters Katie and Chrissa who were the joy of his life. He was compassionate, generous and sampled life in potent doses of traveling, golf, and fine dining.

John is survived by his wife, Maribel; his daughters Chrissa (Stephen) Dockendorf, and Katie (Ray) Dorsey; his stepsons Jacob Malafsky and Isaac Malafsky; his grandchildren Aidan Dockendorf, Felix Dockendorf, Noah Dockendorf, Ezra Dockendorf and Abigail Dorsey; his sisters Linda Marrama, Cindy (Mike) Weber and Elaine Marrama; and his nephews Andrew Weber, John Weber, Michael Whalen and Chris Whalen.

A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, May 19^th at 11AM at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA.
