KIMBERLY A. JOHNSON OBITUARY
Kimberly Antoinette Johnson, 56, of Ashburn, Virginia passed peacefully November 29, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Kimberly was born on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 15, 1966 at Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Virginia to Stevie Johnson and Linda Council Johnson Glascock. Kimberly comes from a long line of educators, ministers, and scholars. She was raised in a Christian household under the tutelage of her grandmother, Emma R. Council, and immensely spoiled by her grandfather, Fred Pindar Council (both deceased).
She was educated in the Arlington County Public School system and attended Drew School, Kemper School, and Washington-Lee High School. Kimberly successfully attended various business classes to improve her skill level and began her professional career working in healthcare services. She loved her work as a PBX Operator and took great pride in helping co-workers develop their level of expertise. Kimberly was an innovative thinker with design ideas that helped streamline the workflow. She worked at hospitals in Orlando, Florida, Fairfax County, Virginia, and Ashburn, Virginia.
Kimberly had a great sense of humor, a magnetic personality, a welcoming smile, and a warm spirit. She will always be remembered for her love of cars, designer fashion, fine cuisine food, and love of family.
She leaves to cherish her devoted Mother, Linda Guisset Glascock; Children, Ricoh E. Johnson of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Chanel A. Walker of Arlington, Virginia, and Isla J. Jackson of Ashburn, Virginia; Father, Stevie Johnson; Grandchildren, Dasia, Aaliyah, Marley, Ricoh, Jr., Emory and Isla Rose of Sweetwater, Tennessee; Aunts, Bessie Downing (husband, John), as well as devoted Alice Curtis (husband, John, Jr.); Sister-Cousin, Tanya Leak Gray (husband, Ronnie); Sister Circle of Besties, Robin Randle, Lettica (Anna Boo) Jones, Darlene Walker, Tina Williams, Stephanie Blount, and Rosalyn Miller; Cousins, Emmalee Curtis of Carson, Virginia, Roberta Flack of New York, NY, Douglass E. Brown of Texas, Teresa Jouan de Kervenoael of Alexandria, Virginia, Jamal Brown of Washington, DC, Eliza Butler of Orlando, FL, Rikita Butler, Kevin Downing, Kimberlyn Downing, Chiquita Haskins, Ronnise Haskins, Elizabeth Fells, Teddy Fells, Yvette Greene, Shavon Greene, Allen Burton, Sylvester Burton, Clarence Clanton (wife, Anita), Tejanae Thomas, Anthony Council, Teddy Council, Jr., John E. Curtis, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Kimberly’s presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Her beauty, grace, strength and courage will forever be remembered as she lives on in our hearts forever.
