Konrad Slepoy

Konrad Slepoy, 27, of Bethesda, Maryland passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Inova Fairfax Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Raisa, and five sisters, Natasha, Violet, Siona, Katya, and Sasha.
Born in San Francisco, California, Konrad moved with his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico and later Bethesda Maryland. He graduated from Walt Whitman High School in 2010 and the University of Maryland with a degree in Computer Science in 2014.
Konrad spent his 27 years of life making other people happy. As the only brother in a family of six children, he served many roles: nickname-giver, punching bag, jungle gym, and protector. Konrad had the unique ability to make anyone smile. During his years on the cross-country team in high school, he would often run by his teammates, mooning them, or screaming just to get them to smile. During college, Konrad performed with the Gymkana team, climbing up a dozen chairs and doing a handstand at the top or jumping through a ring of fire, always with a smile on his face.
After college, Konrad spent time at a yeshiva in Israel learning about his Jewish faith and the Torah. He studied the texts with curiosity and determination and was always concerned with living a righteous life. His intelligence and aptitude for learning led him to ponder the bigger questions in life.
The most important thing we want you to remember about Konrad is that he loved and was loved in return. During his time in our world he cultivated many relationships and touched the lives of so many. He was a friend, a brother, and a son. There is nothing that can ever fill the Konrad shaped hole in our lives. We will always love him and never forget him.
When we think of Konrad, we will think of him dancing in the street. We will think of him doing back flips and handstands on top of park benches and roofs. We will think of his jokes and the sound of his laughter. We will think of his joy and his eagerness for life. We will think of the enormous amount of love and kindness in his heart. May his memory be a blessing.
Friends and relatives are invited to an outdoor service will at the Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, MD 20871, on Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 AM.
