Linda Lee Saifi

Always a cheerful-spirited and generous woman, Linda Fields-Saifi was born on June 29, 1957 in Washington, DC, and entered into peace on Friday, December 21, 2024 at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA.

Born to her parents, Eugene Fields, Sr and Stella Motlow Fields, Linda was raised with her siblings in Fairfax County, VA where she attended school and learned cosmetology skills that she used to keep many of her friends and family in fresh hairdos from time to time.

Although she would sometimes style hair with her cosmetology skills, much of her work was done in the service of feeding others. From the late 90's to 2010's, Linda managed and operated The Christ House Meals For The Homeless Kitchen, and also The Rising Hope Methodist Church Food Bank; for her work, spirit, and devotion in this, she was featured in The Washington Post and appreciated by the those in need and the local community at large.

Away from work, she spent time with her children, nieces and nephews on family outings at venues and events like The Octoberfest Carnival, The Cherry Blossom Events in Washington, DC, and The National Zoo.

Linda also loved being the self-appointed family photographer-a love that filled several family photo albums with memories and moments of fun, love, and togetherness. She loved the artist Prince and Purple Rain… Purple Rain. Linda was also a doll baby lover and handmade porcelain dolls as a hobby. She was very dedicated in every detail of her artwork. 

Linda leaves: to remember her son lvan Abdul Aziz-Rahman/Fields, her sisters Harrieta Fields of Emporia, VA., Edwina Fields Alexandria, VA., Katie Smith (Robert) of Woodbridge, VA: two brothers, Charles Fields (Paula) of Haymarket: VA, Two grand-children, Kayla and Destiny Rodriguez, her God son Tyrone Holmes, and many nieces nephews, cousins.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.  The family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM
