Michael Cascarano

On August 25, 2015, Michael Cascarano, 86, of Alexandria, VA died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Valenzano, Italy in 1929 to the late Giuseppe and Isabella Cascarano. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1958 and retired as an electronics engineer from the U.S. Department of Defense after 45 years of service, primarily in Europe.He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Renate Cascarano; one daughter, Isabella Cascarano and her husband Benjamin Garrett; one son, Joseph Cascarano and his wife Dr. Anissa Nabi; his three grandchildren, Giacomo Garrett, Leila Cascarano and Ryan Cascarano. He is also survived by his sister Olga Cascarano, his nieces, Luisa Sullivan and Rosa Cavallo; and one nephew, Rino Cavallo.A private memorial service will be held at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria VA 22314 on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
