Robert Segrest

Robert Michael “Mike” Segrest passed peacefully with family by his side at his home in Alexandria, Va. on July 14th. A Celebration of Mike will be held on July 30th in Temple Terrace, FL — for details please contact a family member.Mike was born in Atlanta, Ga. on Oct. 26, 1936 and married his high school sweetheart Catherine Smith on June 15, 1957. Mike is survived by his devoted wife Catherine, their children — Robert Michael Jr. Noreen, Jena Greene Steve, Jed Denise and Andrew Bill, and 14 beloved grandchildren—Robert Michael III, Matthew, Christopher, Caty, Avery, Kenny, Hallie, Dustin, Gunnar, Colten, Jamie, Spencer, Emily and Adam. After service to his country in the United States Air Force, Mike made his living as a general contractor, was active in community theater, and was a master at crosswords and Words with Friends, but we will most remember his humor, his laugh and how he always made each of us feel as if he was the proudest person ever to call us his family.Mike takes a piece of all of us with him and leaves so many sweet and storied memories for all to cherish.
