Rosemary Kelly Parnell

The Parnell family are saddened to announce the passing of their mother and matriarch, Rosemary, who passed on December 14, 2024 at home in Alexandria, Virginia surrounded by her daughter, Kelly, and son, Bob. She was born October 23, 1946 in Philadelphia and raised in Philadelphia and Miami. Rosemary was a dedicated and adventurous worldwide humanitarian, having survived as a Marine Corps spouse's wife, worked for the World Food Program, the International Committee for Red Cross, and the American Red Cross in 47 countries and throughout the United States. Rosemary is survived by her brother Jeff Kelly and sister Veronica Kelly Serra. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm May 12, 2025 at Arlington National Cemetery, followed by a small celebration of her life in Old Town.
