Sandra Darlene Bible

Sandra Darlene Bible, known by family and friends as Sandy, passed away peacefully at Reston Hospital with family by her side on July 10, 2023. Sandy was born December  2, 1944, in Alexandria, Virginia to Agnes B. Simms Hall and Beverly B. Hall.

The youngest of 7 children, she lived in Alexandria all her life and graduated from George Washington High School in 1963. Sandy lost her mother when she was 10 years old and went to live with her older brother, Bedford, and his wife Myrtle Hall in the Woodlawn section of Alexandria.  During high school, Sandy spent half her days working at a telephone company in the District of Columbia (DC). She later worked as a bookkeeper at the then Hospitality House on Jefferson Davis Highway in Crystal City.  

Sandy gave birth to her only child, Stephanie Leigh Hall (Wise), on February 28, 1967.  In February of 1979, she became an account clerk for the City of Alexandria and remained there until her retirement as an Account Clerk III in December 2009. 

Sandy is survived by her son-in-law Rony Wise (Shirlie) of Clifton, VA; grandchildren, Taylor Wise and her fiancée Todd Smith of Alexandria, VA; Chase Wise (Jancy) of Alexandria, VA; Reagan Wise of Clifton, VA; Nicole Brown (Chaz); and great- grandchildren, Paisley, Beau, and Grady.  

Sandy was proceeded in death by both her mother and father and her siblings; Robert Lee Hall of Alexandria, Bedford Carroll Hall of Alexandria, Etta Virginia Harlow of Alexandria; Esther Mae Wills of Columbia SC; Lorna Jean Williams of Woodbridge; and Charles Franklin Hall of FL.

Her only child, Stephanie, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. Sandy and Stephanie were in communication daily and spent every morning together over breakfast until Stephanie’s sudden passing. During retirement, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed coupon shopping for the best deals in town.
