Stanley Lee Woodard 69 years old passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024.
Stanley Lee Woodard was born September 12th, 1955 in Alexandria, VA to the parents of Selma Labord (maiden) Woodard and Nathaniel Woodard.
Stanley was born of 5 siblings: Nathaniel Woodard Jr, Mary (Sista) (Woodard maiden) Harper (passed away), Raymond Woodard, and Patricia (Tricia) (Woodard maiden) Duckett (passed away).
Growing up Stanley was very artistic, a collector of stamps, coins, sports cards, and musically talented. Stanley was a very good basketball player. He would play at recreation center schools/streets. Stanely would build go-karts with his brother and friends, and ride them down the steep road of the Alexandria GW Masonic Temple. He always built the best and fastest go kart. Stanley was good at working on cars. Stanley learned to play bass guitar and was very good. Stanley in several local bands in Alexandria in the mid 70s early 80s. Straight out of high school Stanley went to work for the phone company Verizon for many years.
Stanley was a wonderful father and great grandfather. Some of his happiest moments were surrounded by family and friends. Music was life to him, always playing music and known for being the life of the party on the dance floor amongst family and friends. Stanley enjoyed painting abstract and landscape art as well. He loved playing card games, poker, Keno, horse racing games, and going to casinos. Even back in the day he played craps with friends in the neighborhood. Everyone knows playing the lottery as one of his favorite things to do and won a lot of times throughout his life. Stanley was known for always being helpful, giving, charming, fun, family oriented, and putting a smile on peoples faces with his humor and always cracking jokes. He was a diehard Redskins fan and everyone knew it.
Stanley leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish his memory: two sons Randy Palmer, Kerwin Woodard, ; two daughters Chantal Nicole Woodard, and Alexis Woodard; 6 grandchildren, two brothers Nathaniel Woodard Jr, Raymond Woodard, and loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
